The Fairhaven Suite

The Fairhaven Suite at St Faith’s care home offers specialist end of life care with comfort, peace and dignity. Newly furbished and separate from the main nursing home, it offers privacy for adults wanting to receive palliative care for their final days, weeks or months.  It gives families and friends quality time together knowing that the best in end of life care is on hand.

At The Fairhaven Suite, our team of experienced nurses and carers are here to provide compassionate, personalised end-of-life care for your loved one during this deeply sensitive time. With a strong focus on comfort and dignity, our highly-skilled team is well-versed in the latest approaches to symptom management and pain relief, ensuring that every moment is met with the utmost care.

We offer 24-hour nursing support, enabling our team to respond swiftly to any changes in your loved one’s needs. We also work closely with local healthcare professionals, including GPs and the rapid response team, so that additional expertise is readily available when needed.

At Lilian Faithfull Care, we believe in honouring each person’s wishes for their final days, and our team takes time to fully understand those wishes. We work together with family members to ensure these wishes are honoured, providing you with peace of mind and a sense of connection throughout.

An essential part of our care is the support we offer to families and friends, recognising that this is a deeply emotional journey for everyone involved. We are committed to making this time as gentle as possible for both your loved one and for you. Our caring team is here to listen, support, and provide comfort, with access to professional counselling if desired.

Fairhaven Suite Facilities

There are nine fully accessible suites with ensuite wet rooms within the Fairhaven Suite.  The rooms are spacious, light and airy and can be reconfigured to suit the specific needs of each person and their families (as well as having plenty of space for appropriate equipment). Each has the benefit of a high-tech bed which offers maximum comfort and flexibility.

Our suites are thoughtfully designed to welcome family members, allowing you to stay close to your loved one during this challenging time. Each suite offers ample space for family members to stay overnight, so you can share moments of comfort, love, and togetherness without feeling rushed. If additional accommodation is needed, St. Faith’s can often arrange nearby options, ensuring that family and friends can remain close.

The Fairhaven Suite also includes two lounges and kitchens for visitors to use, created to give families or friends independence and privacy. The kitchen facilities are in addition to complimentary food and refreshments available from the St Faith’s catering team.

All the suites have Wifi and a Smart tv.

Activities

Our caring activities team can help support your loved one stay connected to the things that bring them joy and comfort. We offer gentle, one-on-one support to engage in favourite hobbies and interests.

Activities can be adapted to match each person’s individual energy levels and specific needs. Whether it’s arranging special outings or welcoming beloved pets for a visit, we strive to create moments of warmth and familiarity that bring a sense of normality and a space for some happiness.
