Quiet Cheltenham location
Royal Court is a purpose built accessible home in a quiet residential location in Cheltenham. Exceptionally well maintained, it offers 43 light and spacious apartments each with their own front door, grouped into small communities to give a calmer and more personal environment. Five of the apartments are doubles, which can accommodate couples or friends if desired.
In addition we have a suite of newly refurbished rooms to offer guests respite care.
Since Royal Court joined the Lilian Faithfull Care family in 2016 we have built a conservatory to double the size of the communal areas and launched a programme of refurbishment. The architect-designed conservatory floods the communal spaces with light and creates a modern uplifting space which, alongside our refurbished lounge and dining room, provides plenty of space to enjoy our activities programme, socialise with family and friends or find a quieter spot to watch the world go by.
Behind their own front door the bright apartments each have a small hall leading to the lounge (with a kitchen area), a shower room and bedroom. As part of our mission to create a true ‘home from home‘ feel residents are welcome to add their own furnishings and personal belongings.
Our courtyard garden is filled with raised beds which offer the opportunity to enjoy a spot of gardening or enjoy the many seating areas whenever the weather allows!

At Royal Court we can offer people a little day to day support amidst their full and independent lives right the way through to full nursing care. As residents have their own apartment, we are often referred to as the ‘gentle first step’ when looking for care. We pride ourselves on a home from home atmosphere and the whole team work hard to make the transition into care as seamless as possible.
Our ethos is to provide person-centred care so we tailor our care and support around your needs and preferences. We offer 24 hour care and support and provide an emergency pendant for residents to call for immediate help. We have specialist knowledge of dementia and offer additional free support to family and friends through our Memory Awareness Support Team (MAST).
One of our apartments has been fully adapted for specialist bariatric care. This suite has the space and equipment to ensure those living with obesity have the same dignity in care.
We work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of external health professionals to ensure every resident’s care needs are met and unnecessary hospital admissions are avoided. We also have close links with the local GP surgeries who hold fortnightly surgeries at Royal Court and have a range of visiting services as required.
We offer flexible day care, welcoming guests to enjoy their day with us with company, home cooked food, activities, trips and events.
At Royal Court we strive to make life fun and fulfilling for our residents. We often find people gain a ‘new lease of life’ after moving in; with all the daily chores taken care of and with help on hand, residents can find new energy to follow their interests and hobbies. We are always delighted to respond to suggestions and ideas from residents and their families to ensure there is something relevant and stimulating for all.

Our chefs prepare fresh nutritious and well balanced menus each day offering a wide range of options at every meal. Every morning our popular breakfast club enjoys a ‘full english’ or a continental breakfast. We hold special seasonal days throughout the year, theming our food around all the major festivals, as well as sporting and royal events. We look forward to when we can again welcome guests to join residents for a meal and host family parties for any occasion!
As a charity we are able to offer very competitive rates for our assisted living care. Fees vary according to factors such as the level of care required and size of apartment, so please talk to Lisa, our home manager to find out more. We have never had to ask anyone to leave due to their personal financial circumstances.
To find out more about life at Royal Court please contact Lesley and the team on 01242 221853 or email email@example.com. Currently we are unable to give ‘in-person’ tours of the home but we offer live video tours and staff are available to talk to you via video link or by telephone depending on your preference. We look forward to hearing from you
We have been grateful for the efforts made by the Royal Court for us to visit our relative during the pandemic. On each occasion the care staff were kind, gentle and supportive. we also appreciate the speedy response when we raise queries or concerns by email. He is in good hands.
I have found all staff very helpful and will go the extra mile to ensure my friend and other residents have a good experience of Royal Court, and all their needs are met.
I would like to congratulate the staff and residents of Royal Court through the last six months. The care of the residents was utmost with all the staff. So much effort was given to entertainment and making sure the residents were 'happy'. I cannot praise them all enough.
Staff are friendly and helpful and try to encourage my mother to join in. She often comments that she likes the food especially the afternoon cakes. Even during the lockdown they are doing their best to care for their residents.
Throughout this year with a major pandemic to deal with, I feel that the Lilian Faithfull group (particularly Royal Court where my mother has lived for 18 months) has acted with professionalism where the safety of its residents has been paramount..... I am thankful that I know my mum is well supported by all the staff at Royal Court.
