Quiet Cheltenham location
Royal Court is a purpose built accessible home in a quiet residential location in Cheltenham. Exceptionally well maintained, it offers 43 light and spacious apartments each with their own front door, grouped into small communities to give a calmer and more personal environment. Five of the apartments are doubles, which can accommodate couples or friends if desired.
In addition we have a suite of newly refurbished rooms to offer guests respite care.
Since Royal Court joined the Lilian Faithfull Care family in 2016 we have built a conservatory to double the size of the communal areas and launched a programme of refurbishment. The architect-designed conservatory floods the communal spaces with light and creates a modern uplifting space which, alongside our refurbished lounge and dining room, provides plenty of space to enjoy our activities programme, socialise with family and friends or find a quieter spot to watch the world go by.
Behind their own front door the bright apartments each have a small hall leading to the lounge (with a kitchen area), a shower room and bedroom. As part of our mission to create a true ‘home from home‘ feel residents are welcome to add their own furnishings and personal belongings.
Our courtyard garden is filled with raised beds which offer the opportunity to enjoy a spot of gardening or enjoy the many seating areas whenever the weather allows!
At Royal Court we can offer people a little day to day support amidst their full and independent lives right the way through to full nursing care. We are often referred to as the ‘gentle first step’ when looking for care. We pride ourselves on a home from home atmosphere and the whole team work hard to make the transition into care as seamless as possible.
Our ethos is to provide person-centred care so we tailor our care and support around your needs and preferences. We offer 24 hour care and support and provide an emergency pendant for residents to call for immediate help. We have specialist knowledge of dementia and offer additional free support to family and friends through our Memory Awareness Support Team (MAST).
We work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of external health professionals to ensure every resident’s care needs are met and unnecessary hospital admissions are avoided. We also have close links with the local GP surgeries who hold fortnightly surgeries at Royal Court and have a range of visiting services as required.
We offer flexible day care, welcoming guests to enjoy their day with us with company, home cooked food, activities, trips and events.
At Royal Court we strive to make life fun and fulfilling for our residents. We often find people gain a ‘new lease of life’ after moving in; with all the daily chores taken care of and with help on hand, residents can find new energy to follow their interests and hobbies. We are always delighted to respond to suggestions and ideas from residents and their families to ensure there is something relevant and stimulating for all.

Every morning our popular breakfast club enjoys a ‘full english’ or a continental breakfast. We hold special seasonal days throughout the year, theming our food around all the major festivals, as well as sporting and royal events. We welcome guests to join residents for a meal and we enjoy hosting family parties for any occasion!
As a charity we are able to offer very competitive rates for our assisted living care. Fees vary according to factors such as the level of care required and size of apartment, so please talk to Lisa, our home manager to find out more. We have never had to ask anyone to leave due to their personal financial circumstances.
Come and visit us to get an immediate feel for Royal Court’s warm and positive ambience. You are welcome to join us for a coffee, meet Lisa and the team, tour the home and learn more about care and life at Royal Court.
My wife has been resident at Royal Court since Sept 2018. She has dementia and other health problems. The care she has received is outstanding. All the staff and management have been brilliant, not only to my wife but also to myself.
Royal Court ticks all the boxes where my brother is concerned. His health has improved due to nourishment and personal care and he has peace of mind that someone is on hand if he falls ill. Mentally he is much happier, motivated with the activities on hand and always greets us with a big smile, as do all the staff which is wonderful for us. I feel he's got an extended family.
I have been very well looked after and I am grateful to everyone for their kindness throughout. A personal thanks to one member of staff who has been so helpful especially with the mobile phone. Also, the cleaner has kept my room spotless.
Royal Court provides excellent care and support to my father. I would wholeheartedly recommend this to other people seeking a safe, supportive environment to care for their family members.
I find the staff very friendly and cannot do enough for my mother, always popping in and having a chat whenever someone's there. They have entertainment, days out, a garden they can sit in, a nice conservatory. They rooms are always clean.
