What is a Meeting Centre?

Meeting Centres provide a place where people can understand and adapt to living with dementia.  It offers person-centre support for those with dementia together with and their friends and family.

It is a concept which was developed in the Netherlands where it has been successfully established for over 10 years ago.  It is now found in the UK and with guidance from the University of Worcestershire, this is the first one to open in Gloucestershire.

It focuses on supporting anyone with early onset, mild or moderate dementia and their families living in Gloucestershire

Come and visit us

Come and visit us on Wednesday between 10am and 3:30pm to get an immediate feel for the warm, happy and relaxed atmosphere of the meeting centre day. You are welcome to join us for a coffee, meet Yvonne and Georgina and find out more. If it is difficult to visit us, we are happy to come and visit you.

The meeting centre is based in our Royal Garden Community Hub building on Fiddlers Green Lane in Cheltenham. Please come direct to the Hub building which is straight ahead of you as you arrive into Royal Court’s drive. On the left you will also find our assisted living home Royal Court.

There is a bus stop outside Royal Court (No. C bus service).
