Independent Living at Bay Tree Court

Bay Tree Court offers eight apartments, three bungalows and an annexe for independent living tucked away on Prestbury High Street in Cheltenham. People living in this warm community are supported by an independent living manager and housekeeper with 24 hour emergency support from the care home on site.

Independent Accommodation

We have a range of different types of accommodation available to suit the specific wants and needs of each of our residents. From sleek apartments to cosy bungalows, whatever home means to you, Lilian Faithfull has a place for you.

Individual Apartments

There are eight independent living apartments at Bay Tree Court. Each modern apartment has its own front door, kitchen, bathroom and lounge area with shared communal garden spaces. With only a small number of apartments, we have created an intimate, friendly community which blends self-sufficiency with the reassurance of nearby assistance if needed.

Bungalows

For something a bit more cosy and accessible, we also have 3 lovely bungalows available. These homes are perfect for individuals who perhaps find stairs more challenging, making every day easier and safer.

The Annexe

Finally, we have the annexe. Joined to/ detached from the main care home, the annexe offers a self-contained space thoughtfully designed to provide all the comforts of home whilst offering easy access to the community and amenities of the main care home.

There is onsite parking available for both residents and visitors, making it easier for residents and their families to spend time together.

Supported Independent Living

Those living independently at Bay Tree Court have the support of a dedicated independent living manager (part time) who:

• makes a daily check on residents
• helps with practical issues
• liaises with families
• facilitates events in the communal space

On the days when the manager is not on site, each resident is telephoned to check all is well. A 24 hour emergency call bell is provided with support given by the residential care home on site.

Freshly prepared home cooked food is available to order from the chefs at the care home, with a separate dining room for independent living residents. There is a dedicated housekeeper who cleans each property once a week. The maintenance team deals with any issues as they arise. The gardens are maintained by our in-house team, but there are always opportunities to get involved in the gardening if people wish.

Local Community

Bay Tree Court is on the vibrant and popular Prestbury High Street a few doors down from the village shop, cafe & bakery, butchers and pharmacy as well as the popular The Kings Arms pub.

There is a busy local community and St Mary’s Church is on the doorstep. Many residents enjoy monthly lunches put on locally by the Prestbury Memorial Trust, and there is also the opportunity of joining in with activities in the care home.
