Adult day care offers people the chance to come together in our central hub to enjoy socialising, engaging activities and nutritious meals, all in a safe and supported environment with trained professional carers during the day.
The Secret Garden Hub in Cheltenham is located in a peaceful setting in ‘the Suffolks’ and is bright and ‘family-sized’ so guests quickly feel familiar in the environment. There is a wide range of activities and our nutritious freshly prepared food by our chefs is always a highlight.

A break for you and your carers
Coming to our day care hub in Cheltenham means getting out of the house for a change of scenery. You can come as often as you like too. We have people who just visit once a week, and people who visit us every other week. It’s a great way to shake up your routine and have a change of pace in your day-to-day.
Adult day care can also be helpful to give caregivers a break. Having a few extra hours to yourself in the day means you can get on with other errands, spend time with friends or family, or simply put your feet up and relax. Regular breaks to rest and recharge are key to preventing carer burnout, and can help you deliver better care in the long run.

How does adult day care work at Lilian Faithfull?
A day visit includes one to one time with carers, engaging and fun activities and nutritious lunch and refreshments. Guests are looked after by our team of qualified and experienced care staff.
Our team has expertise in caring for those living with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, recovering from Strokes and other conditions. We work with guests and their families to support and plan the level of care needed at home too.

What activities are available for day care guests?
Our Secret Garden Day Hubs offer a varied monthly activity programme designed to stimulate, engage and support wellbeing, while remaining flexible to individual preferences.
Activities include:
- Gardening
- Gentle exercise such as Tai Chi, Easy Fit and Dance Therapy
- Live music and performances
- Arts and crafts
- Trishaw cycle rides
- Trips to cafés and local attractions
- Quizzes, reminiscence and games
- Hairdressing and chiropody (Faithfull House, by appointment)

Can you come for just a few hours?
Yes! We know that everybody is different, and we are committed to offering flexible care for our day guests. You can choose to just come for an hour or two if you would like. Many of our guests have found this a great way to try out day care and see if it is for them.
