We offer care homes for couples across our care homes in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

WHAT IS CARE FOR COUPLES?

Our care homes for couples are specialised living arrangements where partners can live together in a supportive environment, even if one or both need assistance with daily activities. We understand that the decision to move into care can be a very difficult one but it can be made a lot easier knowing that couples can move in and continue living together under the same roof. All our homes have double apartments and/or rooms so that couples can choose to have the same room or their own separate rooms to accommodate varying needs.

All of our care homes offer a range of fun activities designed to be enjoyed together as a couple but also with the other care home residents, including but not limited to:

  • Pets as therapy
  • Visits to local places of interest
  • Gardening activities
  • Book clubs

We also tailor activities to each resident depending on their current circumstances, whether they prefer to stay in their room or are experiencing ill health, thus making sure every resident gets the same opportunity to participate in activities.

  • This is my mother's second short stay at Royal Court and I cannot rate it highly enough. The process of moving into the home and then back out is very easy due to the excellent management, the management team are brilliant, the deputy manager is extremely personable and friendly, a real asset. All the staff at the home are courteous, friendly and knowledgeable about the residents in their care. The food looks extremely nice and the home itself is always exceptionally clean and tidy. The staff really do go out of their way to accommodate specific requests. This would be my number one choice if my mother ever needed permanent care.

CARE FOR COUPLES FAQs

How much is care for couples at Lilian Faithfull?

Standard residential care is £1,800 per person per week. In some cases, managers may apply a discretionary reduction depending on individual care needs. You can get in contact with the team to discuss your individual circumstances and discuss various payment options. 

Will couples have privacy in a care home?

Yes. All residents are supported to maintain privacy and dignity with their own personal bedrooms, and they will also have access to the shared community spaces in the wider care home spaces too. 

Can both partners stay together if only one needs care?

Yes. Where one partner has lower or no care needs, pricing may be adjusted to reflect this, covering accommodation, meals and services rather than full care. Each resident has an individual care plan tailored to their specific needs, and these can be reviewed regularly and adjusted accordingly as care needs evolve over time.
