St Faith’s Care Home unveils new “Coxes Haven” residential wing

St Faith’s Care Home in Cheltenham has officially opened its brand-new residential wing, Coxes Haven, further strengthening its philosophy of being a “home for life” – offering continuity of care whatever a person’s needs may be, and however they may change over time.

The new wing is named in honour of James Anthony Cox, affectionately known as Tony, who served as CEO of Lilian Faithfull Care during the 1990s. Tony’s visionary leadership and tireless dedication helped shape the charity’s ethos and services, laying the foundation for the compassionate care it is known for today. His legacy lives on through Coxes Haven – a name chosen to reflect both his lasting impact and the safe, welcoming environment the wing provides.

The newly completed development has transformed the ground floor of the home into welcoming communal spaces and 18 beautifully refurbished bedrooms, each designed with comfort, accessibility, and individuality in mind. Residents in the new wing can enjoy direct access to the home’s peaceful courtyard garden, with a focus on community living, relaxation and social connection.

Coxes Haven residents will benefit from a wide range of in-house specialists and services, including physiotherapy, hairdressing, wellness and activities, podiatry, and entertainment. As with the rest of St Faith’s, nursing staff are on site 24 hours a day, providing complete peace of mind for residents and their families.

Located in the heart of Cheltenham, close to the Ladies’ College and with excellent transport links, St Faith’s has a long-standing reputation for high-quality care. The home provides specialist support for people living with dementia and those with complex needs, while its renowned Fairhaven Suite offers dedicated palliative and end-of-life care.
