Over 70 years working with the RAF Benevolent Fund!

On a recent visit to London we celebrated that Lilian Faithfull and the RAF Benevolent Fund have been working together in partnership for over 70 years since our formation in 1946.  Formally in 1962 the RAF Benevolent Fund became a Trustee Member of our Charity under the stewardship of Air Vice Marshall Sir John W Cordingly, K.C.V.O, C.B.E, K.C.B the then Controller of the RAF Benevolent Fund.

In honour of this sealing of the partnership and due to the numbers of our residents associated with the RAF our main lounge at Faithfull House was renamed the Trenchard Room after Viscount Trenchard.

Since working together we have helped well over a hundred veterans in our homes, financially but also emotionally by keeping them in contact with the RAF as part of the RAF family.

It’s a partnership we’re very proud of and incredibly grateful for the support our Charity has and continues to receive.
