our care of residents; ensuring a nutritious diet
giving quality of life; ensuring our meals are a highlight of the day.
Our team of chefs prepare fresh nutritious and well balanced menus each day, offering a wide range of options at every meal. Menus are changed regularly to ensure constant variety and interest.
Each home offers a different range of options. In addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner we provide morning coffee, sherry hour, afternoon teas and pre-dinner drinks in our dining rooms, lounges or gardens (weather permitting!). Our catering teams enjoy creating special culinary treats to celebrate every occasion. The team also get involved in our activities programme, facilitating baking clubs and themed events for the residents and their cheese and wine evenings are always popular.
Residents choose where they like to dine; whether they enjoy sharing it in the company of others in our dining rooms or prefer to be in the privacy of their own room.
We cater for all dietary requirements both those required for medical reasons and, just as importantly, those around personal preferences.
Our chefs are experienced at preparing special menus for people who have difficulties chewing or swallowing. They have a range of ways to adapt the menu to suit each person’s needs. Their beautifully presented puree meals use clever piping techniques to ‘recreate’ the dishes which both helps stimulate appetite and increases enjoyment for the residents.
For residents who need help at mealtimes, there are carers who give assistance with eating and drinking. As far as possible they support the same residents each day so that they build a personal understanding of their individual preferences and closely monitor how much is consumed to ensure residents are well nourished and hydrated.
All of our kitchens have the highest hygiene ratings awarded by Environmental Health.
Catering staff are very kind. Mum loves the food and really looks forward to the meals.
I feel that the love I put into cooking the food turns into happiness for the residents
