As a charity we are in care for the right reasons, not for profit, and through our ‘Home for Life’ pledge, we will never ask a resident to leave our group for financial reasons.
96p in every £1 spent is put towards the day to day care of our residents – and all that entails.
We should never forget our older generation formed our modern way of living. It’s our duty to care for them as they have already given so much to society.
We believe that older people should never experience loneliness and isolation, and should have every opportunity to live their lives with dignity and respect.
Together, with fundraising, we can improve the lives of more people in Gloucestershire with the care they need and deserve.
Why we need support
Our growing elderly population need us now more than ever.
A third of our residents have little or no means of personally funding their much needed care. As a charity we financially support around 73 residents and subsidise their fees to the amount of £1.55 million a year. This equates to around £21,200 per resident per annum. Through this subsidy and our ‘home for life’ pledge, we will never ask a resident to leave our group of care homes for financial reasons.
How you can support us
Any donations or fundraising large or small will contribute to enhancing all of our residents’ experience and support those residents with little or no means. Here are some ideas:
You can be as creative as you like and can be done on your own or with a group. Do a personal challenge or enter an organised event and raise money through sponsorship. Hold a work or community bake sale, raffle, team quiz or sports tournament. We can help you – with ideas, inspiration of events to do, support with promoting your sponsorship, help you set up a Justgiving page, and provide you with tools such as a sponsorship form, poster and t-shirt.
