“To say it is a privilege to be the Patron of Lilian Faithfull Care would be to completely understate the huge pride I feel being a part of such an amazing charity. I have met with many members of staff and spent time with the extraordinary residents and had the opportunity to learn some of their stories.
Too often the senior members of society are side lined as unimportant, or no longer of use to modern life, but what we so easily forget is they formed our modern life and ways. I relish being an integral part of Lilian Faithfull Care, its past, present and future.”
CHIEF EXECUTIVE
I took over as Chief Executive at Lilian Faithfull Care in 2015, having spent the previous 5 years as Director of Finance. From the outset, I have thoroughly enjoyed my roles as I can tangibly see the difference the Charity’s work makes to our residents, families and vitally providing a secure place to live and work for our incredible teams. I am responsible for all aspects of the Charity’s operations on a day to day basis and to plan, implement and direct the Charity’s strategy along with my executive colleagues under the approval of the Board of Trustees. I have a strong belief that our older generation formed the way we live today and deserve the very best care and respect later in life.
DIRECTOR OF CARE & DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Originally qualifying as a Nurse, I have managed all of the homes at the Charity at some point in my 25 years at Lilian Faithfull. As Director of Care and Deputy Chief Executive, I am responsible for ensuring that best practice is followed and that our residents receive exceptional care. I have a passion for providing person-centred care individually tailored to our resident’s needs and am a great believer in attentive end of life care. As Director of Care, kindness is at the heart of every decision I make and believe in treating each resident and colleague with integrity, empathy, authenticity, and compassion.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
I joined Lilian Faithfull Care from the commercial care sector around 7 years ago. In my role, I am primarily responsible for ensuring the Charity’s ever-increasing financial resilience. I am accountable for ensuring that Lilian Faithfull Care is a sustainable organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our commitments to existing residents and our teams, to finance the development of new services and approaches, and to manage financial risk within the Trust. I was drawn to its charitable status; the opportunity to make a difference that ultimately enables our residents and teams to have a ‘Home for Life.’
DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
I have over 20 years of HR experience in the commercial sector, having had an early career as a nurse. I joined the Charity around 6 years ago and like my colleagues were immediately attracted to the sector. I am responsible for all recruitment and human resources activities at Lilian Faithfull Care. One of my passions is promoting the importance of the social care workforce to society and pursuing an ambition to ensure that all colleagues receive the career opportunities, recognition and rewards they rightly deserve.
