Caring for you
Lilian Faithfull staff are genuinely passionate about their work and this is evident as soon as you walk through our doors. We believe in investing in our staff and treating them well, which results in a happy, loyal and skilled workforce that offers a high level of compassionate care. Staff members must complete a comprehensive induction programme before they can work in our homes.
We believe our commitment to training increases job satisfaction and yields a team of caring and highly capable employees. We have our own Leadership Development Programme to develop leaders at different levels of the organisation and across all four care homes. We want to develop our staff and retain them whilst accepting that some go on to become nurses and positions of responsibility elsewhere. Staff also receive external training and acquire skills to care for residents with specialist needs – such as Parkinson’s Disease or visual impairment. Lilian Faithfull Homes specialise in dementia care and so we have specialist Dementia Link Workers at each of our four care homes.
Investors in People
We have maintained our Investors in People accreditation since 1998 and have been cited as a best-example case study for employing older people in the workforce by the Department for Work & Pensions’ Age Positive Extending Working Life project. We firmly believe in employing older people and celebrate long service at our annual Long Service Awards event.
