Secret Garden Day Centre « Back to Our Homes
- Respite day care
- Activities and friendship
- Specialist dementia care
Our Secret Garden Day Centre is located in the grounds of our beautiful Grade II listed Faithfull House, Suffolk Square in the centre of Cheltenham.
This safe haven of tranquility is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a day out, taking in the beautiful surroundings and enjoying planned activities and friendship.
We recognise that caring for a loved one can be physically and mentally demanding. Our Secret Garden Community Hub is designed to allow families and carers to recharge their batteries, in the knowledge that their loved ones are in a safe and caring environment.
This facility will provide the community with much more than just day care for those with dementia, it’s for those who want company, take part in activities or clubs and a resource for all generations and uses.
Tailored to every person’s individual needs and offering a wide range of nutritional foods and activities the Secret Garden Hub will become a vibrant part of the community.
The County needs more of these facilities, which also enable people to stay at home longer with access to help when they need it.
We are able to undertake these projects due to very generous donations from The Dunhill Medical Trust, The Albert Hunt Trust, The Rowlands Trust, CHK Charities, The Summerfield Charitable Trust and Laslett’s Charities, for which we are incredibly grateful.
Moreover as a charity, we give all the surplus money back in order to do more to help those who have already given so much to society, and our charges reflect that.
The facility is now open so contact us now for further information.
The ethos of the home is all-encompassing – individual care, maintaining dignity and a quality of life, and making the entire family the focus of care.”
Thanks to all the catering staff for their ingenuity in producing food which has set me on the right track and built me up nicely.”
Lilian Faithfull was there when my family needed it most. The staff are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble.” Naomi Turner, family of Lilian Faithfull resident
